This is Mr. and Mrs. V in Athens, Greece visiting the ancient ruins of the Acropolis. How exciting for someone that will be teaching about the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece. To think of the thousands of years of history under our feet. It helps to put things in perspective. I am so excited for this new year. My students and I will be exploring, investigating, and discovering our part in this magnificent world!
Today in class, we started a discussion of 9/11. Such a tragic event. Most of my students were either 1 or 2 years of age. One of my precious students turn 2 years old, so she shares her birthday with this event. We are watching a video on Friday from BrainPop about 9/11.
